Each year at Pierceton Elementary School, the fifth-grade class recognizes a student with the Jamie Eppleman Award. Eppleman, while a fourth-grade student at PES, was tragically killed in a car accident, along with other members of her family.

Eppleman is described by school administrators as “a wonderful young girl with many great characteristics. She was caring and respectful of staff and peers. She had a smile no matter what kind of day she was having.

Jamie was careful not to judge and put others first. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed laughing at herself as well as laughing with others.

She was always trying to improve and learn from her mistakes.” This year’s Jamie Eppleman Award was presented to Bryce Rhodes.
