Police find truck of home invasion suspects

NOBLE COUNTY — After an elderly couple was tied up for several hours by two intruders in the early morning hours Friday, police began a search for the truck the suspects allegedly left in.

Around 4 p.m. Friday afternoon, police notified media that the truck had been found in Fort Wayne.

According to a press release from the Noble County Sheriff’s Department, two people broke into the home at the 8100 block of East 200 South, LaOtto in Noble County around midnight.

The two men were armed and woke up the couple in the home.

After tying them up, the two intruders ransacked the home.

The two men stayed in the house for hours and eventually left in the victims’ pickup truck.

The couple was able to untie themselves shortly after that.

They went to a neighbor’s house and called police, it just after 7:30 a.m. Friday morning.

Police alerted media in the morning that they were looking for a red 2002 Ford F-150 with an extended cab.

Police notified the public around 4 p.m that the truck had been found in Fort Wayne but did not provide any more new information.

The couple described the suspects as white men, one is about 6-feet tall and the other 5-foot-8.

Both suspects were considered armed and dangerous.
