Police nab 17 in sweep

COLUMBIA CITY — Seventeen people were arrested Thursday evening after several police officers came together to serve arrest warrants.

The Whitley County Drug Task Force spearheaded a sweep of Whitley County Thursday afternoon, serving 14 warrants for methamphetamine-related crimes, and booking three more in the process.

According to a press release from the Whitley County Prosecutor’s Office, some investigations date back as far as May 2013.
