POWER SURGE: Homes boosting electric capacity

COLUMBIA CITY— Many homes around Columbia City are moving into the future by upgrading the electrical capacity in their houses.

Columbia City Electric Department Superintendent Shawn Lickey said these upgrades are in demand because of older houses using more electricity.

“It seems like everyone is using more and more power,” he said.
