COLUMBIA CITY — Princesses and Prince Charmings were all the rage on Friday night in Columbia City. Hundreds of fathers and daughters attended the seventh annual Father Daughter Dance at First Church of God Friday night. The event was sponsored by Columbia City Parks and several area businesses.
The dads dressed in their finest and daughters, looking like princesses, were able to get their portraits taken by a local photographer. A catered dinner by Jill Daniel featured a crowd favorite, macaroni and cheese.
The highlight of the evening was an appearance by two of Walt Disney’s most popular princesses, Cinderella and Belle of “Beauty and the Beast” fame.
Mark Green and Melinda Wheeler, of the Columbia City Parks Department, headed up the event and gave many door prizes away with the help of the princesses.
In the end, after an enchanted evening, it’s a sure bet that all of the daddies and daughters have one more beautiful memory together.
