Project-based learning

Following the tragic events during the Boston Marathon, two Coesse Elementary School students approached Rachal Tanesky, a school guidance counselor, looking for a way to help those involved in the bombing. Tanesky contacted Boston area hospitals to see what type of support was needed. Based on their suggestions, Coesse Student Ambassadors sponsored a toy drive. Area families contributed 140 new toys, coloring books, etc. for the seven children in Boston hospitals. Pictured packing up the toys to send to Boston are (from left) Logan Inman, Morgan Potts, Heidi Bolinger, Alyssa Swangin and Tanesky.
