PUMP PRICE JUMPS: $4.15 per gallon the new norm?

March 28, 2012

COLUMBIA CITY – Gas prices to the west of Whitley County jumped to $4.15 per gallon throughout Tuesday afternoon – and pump prices in the local area and Fort Wayne followed suit later.

Earlier Tuesday gasoline prices had fallen to $3.89 at many filling stations in Whitley County. As of Wednesday morning, there were but a handful of gas stations locally at sub-$4.15 per gallon.

The surge by 25 cents was in full force by Wednesday's commute, which leads motorists to question if $4.15 per gallon is the new norm at the pump.
