Quick transition into winter

COLUMBIA CITY — Last weekend, snow and ice covered the streets of Columbia City, and many parts of Northeast Indiana. Last week was the last scheduled week of leaf pick up in Columbia City.

Mother nature isn’t giving Street Department workers much of a transition from fall to winter.

With many slide offs and slick conditions reported, Columbia City Street Department Superintendent Kelly Cearbaugh and his crew were called in to take care of the streets — before all the trucks were prepared for winter weather.
