COLUMBIA CITY â March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and Passages, Inc. wants the community to better understand what the adult service program offers.
âWe want to show the community that our clients have something to offer,â said Alice Anderson, vice president of programs. âOur clients are not just taking, but they are giving back as well.â
To prove Andersonâs point, Passages has prepared 15 to 20 baskets that are full of items its clients have made.
The baskets will be delivered to individuals and organizations who help support Passagesâ clients.
âWeâll be going to places like the fire department, the mayorâs office and the EMS,â Anderson said. âWe want to show our appreciation for how they support us and our community.â
Anderson said there are several things Passages does for its clients that the community may not realize.
