Raymond Goble Jr, 64

Raymond Perry Goble Jr., 64, a lifelong Washington Township resident, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 12, 2014.
He was born Feb. 26, 1950, in Fort Wayne, a son of Raymond P. and Mary Mildred Henrietta (Smith) Goble. He graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1968.
He was employed at Weatherhead for 36 years, until October 2003. From 2004 until 2009 he worked at Teghtmeyer Ace Hardware.
His church membership was with South Whitley Church of God.
Surviving relatives include three siblings, Rex A. (Joann) Hatfield of Fort Wayne, Lucille (Scot) Klein of Huntington and Ted E. Goble of Columbia City; and six nephews and two nieces, Tim Hatfield, Tom Hatfield, Wes Klein, Andrew Klein, Michael Erne, Steven Erne, Jeannie Turner and Diane Ferrier.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a half sister, Donna Jean Erne.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City, with visitation after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The burial will be in Nolt Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to South Whitley Church of God.
