REALIGNMENT: NHC schools to meet with prospective members

May 27, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY — High school conference alignments could take another major turn later this week.

It was announced in April that the Northeast Hoosier Conference (NHC) would disband in 2015 and members would seek other affiliations.

Now, a meeting is set for this Wednesday which will include Columbia City and five other current NHC schools: Bellmont, DeKalb, East Noble, Norwell and New Haven. Those six schools will meet with four other schools to discuss a possible new conference.

According to a local newspaper, the four schools are Leo, Huntington North, Angola and Concordia.
