COLUMBIA CITY — Veterans were honored with ceremonious grandeur Sunday at the 11th Annual Salute to Veterans program.

Indian Springs Middle School hosted the event, sponsored by Peabody Public Library, which was themed, “Every Picture Tells A Story.”

As part of the program, a slide show presentation scrolled through photographs of veterans along with their military service.

The Whitley County Historical Museum filled several tables with memorabilia, photographs and newspaper clippings from war times.

“We want to honor those who have served us,” said Pastor Judith Follis from Hope Lutheran Church in her invocation.
