RECOVERING GOALS: Hitting fitness marks challenged by weather
COLUMBIA CITY — Winter weather may be putting a damper on many resolutions, but as the first month of 2014 draws to a close, health and fitness experts are encouraging residents to not give up on their goals.Jodi Parnell is a health and fitness coach for Whitley County’s YMCA. She teaches whole living workshops that spur participants to make healthier lifestyle choices.“It’s not just about exercise,” Parnell said. “It’s about nutrition and exercise working together.”Those who looked to the new year as a marker for health may have jumped into a resolution without proper action plans.“You might be slipping on some of those goals, but it’s never too late to get back on track,” Parnell said.
