COLUMBIA CITY â€” Reelcraft Industries, Inc. in Columbia City hosted approximately 25 students from Columbia City High School for a Manufacturing Day event Oct. 2 as part of an effort to draw greater attention to the opportunities that a career in manufacturing can provide.
The event also promoted the pursuit of skills that will lead to a long-term career that offers security and growth for qualified candidates.
The purpose of Manufacturing Day is to erase outdated myths about manufacturing, inspire a new generation of employees to work in the manufacturing industry and inform about manufacturing extension partnerships designed to improve efficiencies, workforce skills and boost profits.
