Reimers weaves responsibilities with leadership

May 6, 2014

When it comes to leadership in Whitley County, Paula Reimers, 43, is the youngest County Council member to serve the area.

Sitting in the At-Large seat, Reimers is the only woman to be in the elected position. “I’ve always been fascinated by government,” said Reimers. “I like working for the people of Whitley County. I consider it an honor to do what I do.”

Reimers’ role as a Whitley County Councilwoman is just one of her many responsibilities.

She is a wife to Scott; a mother to two kids Cohen, 15, and Samantha, 21; and a grandmother to Bailee, 1, in addition to her role as a councilwoman.
“It all keeps me busy,” said Reimers. “However, I love where I am at in life. It’s a mix of everything, but I think my perspective as a Councilwoman is stronger because I see things as a wife, a mom, a grandmother and a resident of Whitley County.”
