Republicans nominate Daniel

COLUMBIA CITY — Republicans in Columbia City chose Ryan Daniel as their candidate for mayor during Tuesday's primary election.
Daniel won the three-man race with nearly 49 percent (575 votes) of the vote. Gary Parrett finished behind Daniel with 32 percent (378) and Don Sexton collected 19 percent (227) of the vote.
Daniel will face Democrat challenger Cathy Heritier in November.
