Richard Bishop, 74

COLUMBIA CITY — Richard K. Bishop, 74, of Columbia City, died at 10:22 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at The Oaks Living Center.
He was born Sept. 5, 1937, in Chicago, a son of William and Helen (Blain) Bishop.
On July 22, 1962, he was united in marriage to Sondra Kay Simpson.
Survivors include his wife, Sondra; four children, Mary Imson of Forrest Va., Richard Bishop of Fort Wayne, William Bishop of Columbia City and Karen Kyler of Larwill; five grandchildren; two sisters, Pat Whitaker of California and Margaret Tuttle of New Haven; and two brothers, John Bishop of Florida and Mike Bishop of Hammond.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Bishop.
The visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
Memorials are directed to the final expense account payable to Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
