ROAD CLOSED: Bridge work to stifle Ind. 114 beginning Tuesday

April 19, 2012

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced this week that Ind. 114 is scheduled to be closed Tuesday, weather permitting, to accommodate replacement of the bridge over the west fork of Clear Creek, between CR 200 W. and South Washington Road, approximately 12 miles east of North Manchester.
The official detour is from Ind. 5 to Ind. 14 to Ind. 9.
The bridge requires rehabilitation for continued safety to the traveling public, according to INDOT.
Work is scheduled to be complete by the end of August.
The contract for the project was awarded to E&B Paving, based on the low bid of $440,000.
INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
