Robert Workman, 83

Robert Eugene Workman, 83, of Columbia City, passed away at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at Miller’s Merry Manor Inc., Columbia City.
Born May 11, 1928, in Logansport, he was the son of Grover Cleveland and Pearl Mae (Michael) Workman.
In addition to Kalamazoo, Mich., he lived in several Indiana cities including, Kentland, Churubusco, Auburn, Rome City, Kendallville, and Columbia City.
He graduated from Kentland High School with the Class of 1946.
On May 11, 1958, he married Margaret Louise Craig in Whitley County.
He worked at Pennsylvania Railroad as a clerk. He was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret “Mickey” Louise Workman of Columbia City; 12 nephews and nieces, including Charles S. (Becki) Mathieu of Churubusco, Jodi (Dean) Stangland of Columbia City and Julie LaCount of Goshen; sister-in-law, Sarah Ann Blackshire of Goshen. His parents preceded him in death.
To honor Mr. Workman’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
Memorial gifts may be given in Mr. Workman’s memory to the donor’s choice of charity.
