COLUMBIA CITY — As a freshman at Columbia City, Amber Ferrell is already on the path to a successful 4-H career.
The daughter of Brad and Angie Ferrell, Amber has won numerous sheep breed categories at the county fair as well as multiple showmanship awards.
Amber's projects for this year include sheep, pigs, goats, alfalfa, wheat and bowling.
Like most 4-Her's, Amber is excited about showing and being with friends.
However she is also looking forward to spending time with her family.
"4-H is more of a family thing for me because we all enjoy being involved with it so much,” said Amber.
Most 4-H members start in the base program, Mini 4-H.
The program is designed to involve kids in kindergarten through second grade in 4-H.
