WARSAW — Though the season wrapped up for many tennis players in Indiana Wednesday night, Whitko’s Tyler Baugher and Columbia City’s Niko Rongos are keeping their postseason hopes alive, after picking up No. 1 singles wins in the opening round of sectional action.

Though Rongos and Baugher are still in action, their teams aren’t. Rongos and Baugher picked up their team’s lone points.

Columbia City fell 4-1 to Tippecanoe Valley Wednesday and the Wildcats dropped a 4-1 match to the defending sectional champs, Warsaw.

Baugher beat his Warsaw opponent 6-4, 6-4, and will be advancing to the regional.

Rongos took a three-set win against Tippy Valley, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).
