Ross Snyder, 92

COLUMBIA CITY — Ross Albert Snyder, 92, of rural Columbia City, died at 11:43 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011 at Miller’s Merry Manor.
He was born Nov. 3, 1919, in Detroit, a son of Albert Thomas and Carol (Miller) Snyder.
During World War II, he served as a flight officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
On Sept. 16, 1942, he was united in marriage to Marjorie M. Hamlin.
Surviving relatives include his son, Ross “Bud” (Laurie) Snyder of Columbia City; four grandchildren, Richard Phillips, Kimberly Reyes, Shannon Doege and Lindsey Snyder; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Vernon Snyder of Florida and Duane Snyder in Arizona.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Studebaker; an infant sister; and three brothers, Ralph Snyder, Albert Thomas Snyder Jr. and Donald Snyder.
There will be no visitation or service. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
