COLUMBIA CITY — Whitley County 4-Hers competed in the Small Animal Round Robin contest Wednesday.

The participants are each the "Showman of Showmen" in their own categories of poultry, goats and rabbits.

However, for the round robin contest, they each had to show a random animal from each species.

The highest score altogether would be the winner of the event.

The extreme heat proved too much for the goats. That portion of the contest was cut short for the animals’ comfort and safety.
