South Whitley community members are considering a gardening club that would help enthusiasts hone landscaping and gardening skills. Pictured is a home in South Whitley with ample flowers, plants and landscaping, which serves as an example to what the club would help residents achieve.
SOUTH WHITLEY — South Whitley gardeners are invited to a special presentation in preparation for spring gardening.
Beth Ann Sickafoose will present a short program, Favorite Flowers for Special Areas, at the South Whitley Community Public Library Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
After the presentation, their will be a discussion of the possibility of a South Whitley area gardening group.
The group would meet to share knowledge and experiences, as well as help with community service activities.
Some of the plans for the group would include taking some interesting garden outings together throughout the year.
Anyone with an interest in landscaping and gardening is welcome to attend the workshop to find out more on this potential club or to offer ideas and suggestions on what the gardening club would entail.
Those planning to attend the workshop, should bring their ideas and invite a friend.
Refreshments, and Zickafoose’s gluten free cookies, and door prizes will be provided.
