COLUMBIA CITY â€” Columbia Cityâ€™s Board of Works and Safety, as well as the Common Council, are expected to discuss the possibility of a school resource officer at tonightâ€™s meetings.
Dr. Pat Oâ€™Connor, Superintendent of Whitley County Consolidated Schools, said at the board meeting last week that the district is heading up the countyâ€™s School Safety Commission, which includes all three of Whitley Countyâ€™s districts.
Currently, Smith-Green Community Schools is working out a budget for their own school resource officer.
