Sandra Rarick, 70

COLUMBIA CITY — Sandra Joan Rarick, 70, of Columbia City, passed away at 5:10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Inc., Columbia City.
Born Jan. 21, 1941, in Whitley County, she was the daughter of George A. and Opal (Snyder) Fahl.
She was a lifetime Whitley County resident and graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1958.
She worked at Dana Weatherhead, Columbia City as a production worker for 17 years. On March 12, 1991, she married Richard Herman Rarick in Columbia City.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Herman Rarick of Columbia City; four children, Teressa (Rick) Kiser of North Webster, Tonyia (Andy) Wolfe of Pierceton, Jim (Vicky) Fox of Lafayette and Kim Wells of Columbia City; two step children, Brian Rarick, Kendallville and Michelle Rarick, Huntington; three sisters, Bonnie Merriman of Fort Wayne, Shirley Fahl of Jacksonville, Ala. and Norma Sontendahl of Austin, Texas; one brother, Russell (Evelyn) Fahl of Warsaw; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Tom, Richard, Clarence “Fritz”, Robert and infant Fahl brother, sisters, Charlotte McClain, Mary Bourne and infant Fahl sister.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Curtiss Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at South Park (Annex) Cemetery. Memorial bequests may be given in memory of Mrs. Rarick to the Final Expense Account payable to DeMoney-Grimes.
