Sheila Hammons, 33

Sheila M. Hammons, 33, of Columbia City, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, at Hospice Home, Fort Wayne where she was admitted Tuesday, Dec. 6.
She was born Sept. 11, 1978, in Whitley County, a daughter of Edward Arnold and Cheryl A. (Brandom) Hammons.
She completed her education at Columbia City Joint High School.
Her employment was with Subway.
Surviving relatives include two children, Isaiah Hammons and Cierra Troyer, both of Columbia City; her mother, Cheryl Hammons of Columbia City; two sisters, Dorinda Born of Fort Wayne and Carrie Hammons of Columbia City; a brother, Trenton Hammons of Columbia City; and maternal grandparents, Larry & Beverly Brandom of Columbia City.
Her father preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with visitation from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family. Condolences may be sent to smithandsonsfuneralhome.com.
