Shelter funding questioned by Council, Commissioners

COLUMBIA CITY — Whitley County officials met Tuesday to discuss CEDIT spending for the next two years.

However, discussion was held once again on the need for financial disclosure from Whitley County Humane Shelter leaders.

“We haven’t had any sort of a report in months,” said Whitley County Commissioner Tom Rethlake.

Representing the Commissioners at the Whitley County Council meeting, Rethlake recapped the concerns the Commissioners had with financially supporting the shelter.
