Sherry L. Iholts, 59, of Columbia City, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at her residence, after an extended illness.
Born Oct. 22, 1954, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Martha (Graves) Kessler.
She graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1973 and on March 26, 1983, she married Richard Iholts in Churubusco. She was a lifetime resident of Columbia City.
She worked as a transportation dispatcher at North American Van Lines prior to becoming ill. She enjoyed shopping along with feeding and watching birds.
Surviving relatives include her loving husband, Richard Iholts of Columbia City; a sister, Pamela Born of Fort Wayne; three nephews, Josh (Jennifer) Born of Columbia City, and Henry and Shawn Born both of Fort Wayne.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City.
Funeral services for Sherry will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor John Cummings officiating.
