SCHOOL RADIO: WJHS to air council meetings

COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City High School’s radio station will be taking to a new tune on Tuesday nights.

WJHS, 91.5 The Eagle, will now be airing Columbia City’s Common Council meetings.

The meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month, starting at 7 p.m.

At Tuesday’s meeting, the council approved the radio station’s broadcast of the meetings, and the first aired broadcast is expected to be at the next meeting — Nov. 12.

Currently, the radio station also airs Whitley County Consolidated Schools’ Board meetings, which are held the third Mondays of every month.
