HUNTINGTON — Whitley County Deputy Prosecutor D.J. Sigler is overseeing a high-profile Huntington County case involving a county commissioner.
Huntington County Commissioner Floyd Wall, 59, received a seven-count indictment from a grand jury in Huntington County.
Wall is charged with seven counts of misdemeanor battery, stemming form an Indiana State Police investigation that was initiated in the spring of 2012.
According to Sergeant Kathy Robbins and Detective Jeff Boyd, allegations were made by several women that Wall had inappropriately touched them at different times over the last year-and-a-half.
Those allegations prompted Huntington County officials to contact the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigation Division and an investigation was promptly initiated, according to an ISP press release.
In June, Boyd concluded and turned over his investigation to Special Prosecutor Sigler, who had been chosen to oversee the case.
After reviewing the case, Sigler convened a grand jury which returned the seven-count indictment late today.
