Skiles declares Huntington as college future

Whitko senior Scott Skiles signed with Huntington University Thursday to run track next fall. Skiles was joined by parents Lisa, left, and Scott, right. In back, from left: Huntington University men’s track coach Tom King, Whitko boys’ track coach Ron Cherry and Huntington University assistant track coach Joel Childs. Skiles is a member of the Whitko and Three Rivers Conference record–setting 400-meter relay team (time of 43.60). Skiles is also a member of the school record-setting 1600 relay team (time of 3:26.56). Skiles holds a career best 100 dash time of 11.3; 200 time of 23.0 and long jump of 19-feet-7-inches.
