April 3, 2012

A Fort Wayne police officer was suspended for five days, city officials said, after being caught on camera snoozing when he was supposed to be patrolling city streets.
According to area news reports, the punishment was set due it being his second suspension in as many months.
The report from city officials said Officer Gregory K. Addison Jr. slept for approximately 30 minutes during his early morning shift.
Police learned of the violation by viewing video from Addison's in-car camera and reported the offense to the city's Board of Public Safety on Monday.
According to police, Addison's other suspension occurred for improper conduct after he gave a personal business card to a female during a traffic stop.
