Snow keeps county EMA busy

February 2, 2014

Whitley County’s Emergency Management Agency has had a busy start to the year, with several snow storms — and more to come — according to forecasters. Pictured above, Emergency Management Director Cathy Broxon-Ball sorts through paperwork from the year’s first storm, Winter Storm Ion. Broxon-Ball is tasked with collecting all financial data from the storms and report them to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Friday night brought an inch of snow to the area, with another five inches expected today, and the potential for another large snow event next week.
