OSSIAN — Columbia City High School’s show choir traveled to Norwell High School Saturday for another weekend of show choir competition.
However, this weekend was a chance for the choirs to meet up with Austin High School for an emotional reunion.
In February, Austin High School’s choir was on its way to compete at Northop High School when slick road conditions cause the school’s equipment trailer and truck to slide off the road, destroying much of the group’s gear.
CCHS choirs decided to help AHS replace some the damaged items by holding a fundraiser and collecting donations.
Saturday, the group presented AHS’s choir director, Kathy Sego, with $1,600 the group raised.
