South Whitley grant given in Statehouse ceremony

July 28, 2011

SOUTH WHITLEY — July 13 was a memorable day as town council member Joan Eberhart, along with resident Angela Hoffman, represented the Town of South Whitley in a special ceremony at the Indiana Statehouse.
Lt. Governor Becky Skillman awarded a $600,000 Community Focus Fund (CFF) grant to the town in collaboration with the Region III-A Development and Regional Planning Commission to fund a Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project (Phase II). The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) administers the grants, which are funded through the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
