South Whitley housing gripes directed to law enforcement

SOUTH WHITLEY — Unsupervised adolescents, vandalism, loitering, stolen property and lack of respect for personal property in an undisclosed area of town was brought to the town council’s attention by a concerned resident at Monday evening’s meeting.
“There were others (residents) that planned to attend (meeting) but couldn’t and I would like to say (generally) the police in the last week and a half have done an excellent job of patrolling the area,” the South Whitley resident said. “The citizens are concerned with the houses (in South Whitley) being unkept and we are concerned with the values of them depreciating.”
