Coesse Elementary School recently held its Spelling Bee for grades third through fifth. This is done in association with the Scripps National Spelling Bee program. Winning for grades third and fourth were Alex Kelley and Easton Carnahan, both third grade students at CES. The students were named co-winners after going back and forth several times on their final words. Winning for the fifth graders was Brinnan More. Heidi Bolinger was runner-up for the fifth grade students. More won the competition with the word “rosin.” She will compete again at the Whitley County Spelling Bee, held at South Whitley Elementary School Monday.
