Spring property taxes due Monday

Whitley County Treasurer Laurell Hodges wants to remind taxpayers that property taxes are due Monday.

The fall installment will be due Nov. 10.
Property owners can view the new tax amounts for their parcels at www.beacon.schneidercorp.com.

The following payment options are available:

•Electronic payment at www.whitleygov.com.
•In person at the Whitley County Treasurer’s Office, second floor of the Whitley County Government Building.
•By mail — all payments must be postmarked by May 12.
•With a credit card, by calling 1-800-272-9829. Property owners will need the parcel number and Whitley County’s jurisdiction code, which is 2429. A website can also be utilized for a credit card payment at www.officialpayments.com.However, there is a fee charged for this type of transaction.
•Use the drop box at the back of the County Government Center. The payment will be processed the next day.
