SR14 to be closed for storm sewer work

 State Route 14 in South Whitley is scheduled to be closed Monday, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.

The highway will be closed between South Line Street and South Water Street while South Whitley works on a portion of its ongoing storm water pipe work.

Monday is the only day the highway is scheduled to be closed, but the work is weather permitting, so the closure could change.

The project is not expected to be finished until mid-September, but the highway should only be affected on day.

The planned detour is to use Sout Line Street, West Mulberry Street and South State Street.
