Shearer won her age division (10-11-year-olds) on Saturday’s regional at Indian Springs Middle School.

She shot 20-for-25, good for her first-place finish.

The young hoopster has a break before competing at the state finals on Feb. 24 at New Castle.

Shearer said she practices shooting nearly every day with her mom, Columbia City Head Coach Amy Shearer.

She is also involved in a league at Spiece Fieldhouse in Fort Wayne, playing two games a week.
