LARWILL — Larwill Town Council member Rick Flauding announced his resignation this week which will be effective after the July meeting. Flauding, who has held his position for approximately 13 years, plans on relocating to another area.
“Next month will probably be my last meeting,” Flauding said. “I’ve been on the board since 1999.”
“I hate to see this, but I wish you the best,” Hobbs said.
To qualify for this vacant town council seat, candidates must be a resident of Larwill and registered Republican voter. Applications will be accepted at the Whitley County Clerk’s Office, located on the second floor at the Courthouse in Columbia City.
“A Republican caucus will make the decision,” Town Attorney Greg Hockemeyer said.
