Stripping it down

Throughout schools in Whitley County, custodians are taking the summer months to strip floors, clean windows and shampoo carpets in preparation for the 2013-14 school year.It is a side of the school system most people never see, but one which remains vital to maintaining a positive environment for students and staff alike.Pictured is Whitko High School (WHS) Custodian Dave Cleland beginning the process of stripping classroom floors Thursday.There are approximately 15 rooms to be re-waxed, along with various hallways throughout the school according to WHS Head Custodian Joe Jackson.
