SUCCESS COMES FULL CIRCLE: Lough conducted at festival

March 10, 2014

Sue Lough, Churubusco Elementary School Music Director, works with a group of fourth grade students. Lough recently had the opportunity to guest-conduct at Circle the State, a regional musical festival for elementary-aged students.

CHURUBUSCO — A long-time music teacher at Churubusco Elementary School recently had the chance to show off her students — and her skills — at a regional musical festival.

Sue Lough was invited to be a guest conductor for Circle the State with Songs, a program that takes place at multiple levels throughout the state.
Students from schools around the region learn songs, then come together for a day of rehearsal, which ends with a concert in the evening.

Besides having students participate, Lough said she was honored by the opportunity to guest-conduct.

Part of the honor was in the fact that so many previous guest conductors have been such talented individuals.
