SUMMER READING: Keeping kids sharp

June 11, 2014

WHITLEY COUNTY — Whitley County’s three libraries are offering an opportunity for children to improve their reading skills and earn prizes, throughout summer break.

The Fizz, Boom, Read program is offered by Peabody Public Library, South Whitley Community Public Library and Churubusco Library.

It began Monday and runs through August 1, and school-aged children can sign up anytime throughout the duration.

The program challenges children to read for a total of 800 minutes.
