COLUMBIA CITY – Janice Daniel, of rural Columbia City, outlasted a field of dozens of entries in The Post & Mail’s “Supercharged Pigskin Picks” contest, earning her $25 and the title of “Super Picker 2012.”
Daniel successfully picked eight of the 12 proposition questions in regards to Sunday’s big game that crowned the New York Giants champions of the National Football League with their 21-17 win over the New England Patriots.
The proposition questions ranged from which team would win the coin toss to which defense would make the first quarterback sack.
Daniel was the only entrant to score eight correct responses to the 12 questions. Had someone tied her, she was in very good shape with the tie-breaker questions. She predicted 37 points to be the combined score of the game, without going over (the combined score was 38); she predicted the final score as Giants 20 and Patriots 17, when in fact the score was Giants 21, Patriots 17.
Daniel was certainly “on the money” with her Supercharged Pigskin Picks and earns $25.
Two entrants in the contest managed to guess six of the 12 questions correctly.
They were Sandy Kohut, of rural Columbia City, and Lisa Richmond, of Columbia City.
