Suspect in robbery a Col. City man; Mills allegedly robs bank, commits suicide at intersection

NORTH MANCHESTER — Law enforcement officials have identified the suspected in a North Manchester bank robbery as David Mills, 22, of Columbia City.
After allegedly robbing the bank in Wabash County, Mills committed suicide in Kosciusko County, near South Whitley.

According to police reports, Mills entered First Financial Bank, on North Market Street, robbed a teller and left, northbound on Ind. 13, at approximately at 6 p.m. Friday.

After a pursuit by a North Manchester Police officer, Mills stopped at the intersection of Ind. 13 and Ind. 14.

Police say he refused to leave his vehicle, and moments later a firearm was discharged inside the vehicle.
