April 30, 2012

Trever Hanlon, left and Jason Sizemore

COLUMBIA CITY — Two arrests were made in connection to a vehicle explosion Friday afternoon on Old Trail Rd. near Ind. 5.
Jason Sizemore, 34, of Warsaw is being held at the Whitley County Jail and Trever R. Hanlon, 36, Claypool is booked in Kosciusko County after their car caught fire from an active methamphetamine lab.
According to Whitley County Sheriff’s Det. Bill Brice, the pair were driving from Kosciusko County to Huntington when their meth lab went bad.
Witnesses say the men got out of the vehicle and grabbed a bag and put it under a tree.
Brice said the bag contained most of the precursors for a meth lab.
The pair was allegedly picked up by a passer-by, who transported them to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment.
They fled the hospital and never received treatment, according to Brice.
Sizemore was located by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and after treatment at the hospital, was transported to Whitley County.
Hanlon was located in Kosciusko County, with another active meth lab on Sunday night.
They are being charged with dealing in methamphetamine by manufacture, possession of two or more precursors and maintaining a common nuisance.
