TALENT ON DISPLAY IN PHOTO: Whitko hosts fourth annual show

Whitko Middle School’s cafeteria was the site of the school’s fourth annual talent show Friday night. Above, left to right are contestants Rozlyn Bishop, fifth grade, Amanda Zinsmeister, seventh grade and seventh-grader Maddy Foutz. The event was sponsored by the WMS Peacekeepers program and organized by Tara Hosier. With 20 different talents, the categories included singing, variety and dance. Aside from offering students a chance to showcase their talents and entertain the crowd, all proceeds from the event went to the Peacekeeper Program. DVD’s of the WMS talent show are $5 and available for purchase by contacting Tara Hosier at 327-3603. Winners from the singing category include: Sydney Trump, first place; Hailey Scarberry, second place and Maddy Foutz, third place. In dance, Kaycee Keener took first, Alyssa Babcock, Kari Hobbs finished second and Jared Hartman placed third. In the variety category, Gabby Breske took first, Samantha Hochstetler came in second and Hannah Sikora placed third.
