TECH UPDATE: Whitley Co. Consolidated leaning on technology

COLUMBIA CITY — As each year passes, the importance of technology increases for Whitley County Consolidated Schools.

Anne Plunkett, technology director for WCCS, shared with the board of school trustees areas of progress within her department in the past year.
Relocating to Indian Springs Middle School was perhaps the largest change for the department.

The move took several steps, but Plunkett said the new location at ISMS is serving the department well.

ISTEP+ preparations were made by the technology department in 2012-13. Extra computers, both laptops and desktops, were relocated to elementary buildings to allow for an adequate number of students in third through fifth grades.
